Partial Hospitalization

The Wasserman Youth and Adolescent Center is a partial hospitalization program for youth who are severely emotionally disturbed and cannot be maintained in regular school programming.  The program is a therapeutic environment with an academic component and serves up to thirty-two children and adolescents.  The Partial Hospitalization Program offers at least 3 hours of group treatment and one hour of academic instruction per day.

Summer programming is available 5 days a week for 8 weeks.  Program hours are 8:30-12:30 Monday-Thursday and 8:30-1:30 on Fridays for clients who earn the privilege of swimming at the YMCA. The program is designed for students who need additional support during the summer and specifically addresses social skills, anger management and stress management skills. Each child will have an individualized plan that will further direct the treatment provided.   We will provide progress reports to parents at the end of the summer program.  Progress reports for schools will be provided upon parental request.
