Leadership
As co-workers, we collaborate and support each other. We encourage creativity, and use our strengths and differences to enhance the work that we do.
Abi Hernandez serves as the Assistant Director of School Readiness, overseeing curriculum implementation, mental health services, disabilities coordination, and professional development initiatives to ensure high-quality programming across the agency. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and an OCPS-A credential, bringing both strong academic preparation and hands-on expertise to her role.
Since joining the agency in 2017, Abi has served as a Home Visitor, Education Specialist, and Behavior Support Coach, spending five years supporting staff and children through coaching, collaboration, and trauma-informed practices. Her passion for early childhood education began while working as a Lead Teacher in a therapeutic preschool program, where she discovered the profound impact of supporting young children during their most formative years.
Abi is deeply committed to helping children reach developmental milestones, thrive in the classroom, and build the foundational skills needed for kindergarten success across all areas of development. ahernandez@child-focus.org
