Developing Strong Families and Successful Adults

Calendar-IconOctober 16, 2020

In September, Child Focus announced the expansion of adult/caregiver mental health services including individual therapy and psychiatry. Adult mental health services are currently being provided at our outpatient offices in Clermont County (Mt. Carmel/Eastgate area), Brown County (Mt. Orab area) and Hamilton County (Norwood area). “The demand for mental health services for adults was immediate following the September announcement about adult mental health service expansion, says Dr. Laura Stith, Ph.D. “Since day one, we’ve continued to receive steadily increasing numbers of adult mental health service requests both from individuals as well as external referral sources”. “Given the overwhelming amount of stress people are experiencing due to the social and economic impacts of COVID, it is not at all surprising that so many people are reaching out”. “We are extremely grateful to be able to offer quality mental health care and supportive services for those in need”. Common mental health difficulties shared at the time of referral include difficulty coping with heightened feelings of depression and anxiety, increased family conflicts due to role strain and economic hardship and feelings of isolation.

Adult mental health services available include therapy, psychiatry/medication services and active parenting in office or via telehealth.  Private insurance, Medicaid and self-pay are accepted.  Online registration and walk-ins are welcome.  Child Focus strengthens the quality of life for 20,000 individuals in Southwest Ohio by developing thriving kids, strong families and successful adults.  For more information go to child-focus.org or call 752-1555.
