Child Focus Volunteers at Therapeutic Riding Facility

August 26, 2016

Child Focus staff spent the day volunteering at Milestones Equestrian Achievement Program. Milestones is a non-profit therapeutic horseback riding program that serves individuals with disabilities. Milestones' goal is to improve cognitive, physical and psychological function as well as nurture the emotional health of members of our community through therapeutic horseback riding activities. Milestones is a busy barn that thrives off volunteer assistance. Child Focus staff were able to help weed eat the property and provide baths for horses. Staff were also able to participle in a mock therapeutic horseback riding lesson where they learned how to groom, tack, and lead a horse.
