Sensory Santa Was a Success!
December 19, 2017
hild Focus again offered Sensory Santa at our Mt. Orab location on December 9. The whole family had the opportunity to meet with Santa in a quiet, individualized setting with their family. The family then had a chance to do a sensory friendly craft in one of our group rooms. There are many children who want to meet Santa but have sensory over load when it comes to being at the mall, waiting in a long line, having to deal with loud noises and the whole hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season.
Sensory Santa is designed for children on the Autism Spectrum and for children with sensory needs. The event was created to help children who would like to experience Santa in a quiet, non-threatening environment. Over 600 milk jugs were used to create the amazing glowing igloo. Staff did an amazing job with decorations, backdrop and providing a wonderful experience for children and families. For pictures, click here.
