Child Focus Presenting at OPEC

2015 Annual OPEC Conference
June 29 – July 2, 2015
Ohio University, Athens, Ohio
The goal of this conference is to promote collective impact through building the capacity of Ohio’s prevention, early intervention and treatment workforce for children, families and communities. OPEC will offer six subject matter tracks this year including: Early Childhood Mental Health, Adolescent Treatment & Recovery/Peer Support/Peer Support, Prevention, Collective Impact, Youth Development and Cultural Competency.
Child Focus, Inc. staff, Nicolle Moore, will be presenting on Understanding Families with Substance Abuse: The Impact of Trauma on Young People. 8.3 Million children in the U.S. live with a substance abusing parent and 30% of these children are under age 5. This training will give participants an understanding of the environments in which these children live, trauma effects sustained by them, and strategies for assisting these children.
Registration fee: $100
Registration fee includes a welcome reception on Monday, lunch on Monday-Wednesday, and dinner Tuesday evening.
